Wedding Welcome Boxes: Planning the Presentation

Posted by on

So, you’ve gathered together all of the items you wish to include in your welcome boxes. You’ve personalized your gifts to your recipients, and you’re ready to deliver. What do you do now?

Here’s the deal: you’ve got a lot of things to think about in the days leading up to your wedding. Finding out that the box filled with bath salts for your bridesmaid Jenny was actually given to your uncle Joey is not on your to-do list. How can you ensure that your gifts are delivered properly and in a timely manner?

WEdding welcome boxes

Here are our top three tips for easy delivery of your welcome boxes:

Talk with the hotels about 2 weeks before your event

During this time, focus on planning drop off times, confirming room numbers, and coordinate how the boxes plan to be delivered to the rooms. This is super important. You want to make sure that you can

*Bestowe’s tip: take a picture of the box the way you want it set up in the room and send to the hotel before hand.

Organize all of the boxes prior to drop off

This is key to making sure that you have everything in order. When you give yourself time to organize the gifts by hotel and guest, you are ensuring fewer hiccups when the time finally comes to drop off the boxes. This is also the perfect time to have print copies of the guest lists for the gifts.

Get Help!

This is a game changer. Designating someone whose sole job is to help with the welcome gifts will free up time in your schedule and value space in your mind. If your bridesmaids are not busy during the lead up time to the wedding, you can have someone in the bridal party help with this job. However, asking someone you trust who is not otherwise involved in the wedding is a great way to include others in the festivities. If you can, try to ask someone who is local to your the area your wedding is in or at least be there ahead of time, so they will be around to handle any issues and meet with the hotels beforehand. They can be your eyes and ears for the drop off and set up of your boxes. Above all, they will also make sure that everything goes smoothly while you relax and get ready for your big day, and what could be better than that?

With every aspect of a wedding, planning makes the day run smoothly. If you’re looking for more tips and tricks on gifting, sign up for our mailing list to get Bestowe’s exclusive Gifting Guide.
